My daughter, my dog, my three cats have a different character respectively and they are the ones I must protect.
There is a word “Koshu*”, but I feel there may be more to protect in my life such as my family and my work which is related to traditional crafts, rather than things to challenge.
Even so, I swear to my heart on a New Year’s Day that I still wish to challenge and be positive for new things.

*Koshu: meaning “offence and defence” but it is more relevant to read “offence” as “to challenge things in positive manner” and defence as “to protect“ in this context.
