The sea floating in the forest

On a refreshing sunny Sunday, I participated in a workshop held by Ms. Lene Degett with my daughter.
She is an artist based in Bornholm, Denmark where blessed with abundant nature, and she also hosts an art school there.
Oomurasaki Nature Park in Hokuto-shi, Yamanashi Prefecture has a vast forest where the national butterfly Great Purple Emperor lives.
Using the forest as a set, Lene made the sea floating in the forest called “Blue Dream in Nature”
in front of everyone.

First, together with Lene and Japanese supporting staffs, we walk to a place in the forest where Lene has made the sea using bright blue threads stretched around.
Then, using the branches on the ground in the forest, cotton, hemp string and paint, we imagine butterfly flying in the forest and boat floating in the sea, and handcraft them, and release them to Lene’s sea.
The forest butterfly and the sea boat.
It seems to be two things that have nothing to do with, but when you try to shape them, they start to look like both butterfly and boat.
It was like the vague objects returning to the bright blue sea floating in the fresh green forest while being drifted in the wind.

And at the end, all members participated in the workshop ate some chocolates from Denmark that Lene had brought.
We were shared that children are only allowed to eat chocolates on Sundays in Denmark.
Such a special further enhances the taste.

A workshop in the forest is good.
I want to find out what I can do too.
