On a refreshing autumn sunny day at the end of September, I joined for “Strolling in the woods with Parents & Kids” which was an event organised by my daughter’s nursery school.
We spend walking together in the woods around the nursery where the children are familiar with.
You will be guided to the precious places for the children.

Ever since I started to live at the foot of a mountain, I became to think of the summer solstice and the winter solstice as special days.

The things I dye and weave do not have indigo colour.

I enjoyed every bit of cherry blossoms this spring.
We received guests for participating the workshop “Herbarium of senses vol. 05, Sakura (Cherry blossoms)”, and Akiko KURATA (of scent), Miasa HASHIMOTO (of food) and I (of colour) managed to arrange Hanami (an event to enjoy cherry blossoms) in our own way.

A ”Two-colour stole” which I made by the request of my acquaintance for the occasion of a family celebration more than a decade ago.
When we decided “Layer” to the theme of “Herbarium and senses vol.05 Sakura (cherry blossoms)”, I remembered about the stole.

We’ve had less snow than usual this winter.
While it’s been relieving for me to have less opportunity driving the snowy roads, I have mixed feelings when I hear that there may be less meltwater to soak the rice fields.

When I feel like taking a break and wish to change my feelings after I finished weaving a roll of kimono cloth, I clean my tools such as looms, shuttles and spinning wheels with damp cloth before heading to the next.

I thought that pellucidity was important above all.

I think about my next work, while looking up at the sky.
