I received an announcement from Etsuko Watanabe and Yukiko Funaki from Showa village, Fukushima Prefecture that they opened a reservation-based shop called “Watashifune*”.
A power of “being clustered”
A strength of “being independent”
On a refreshing sunny Sunday, I participated in a workshop held by Ms. Lene Degett with my daughter.
She is an artist based in Bornholm, Denmark where blessed with abundant nature, and she also hosts an art school there.
Oomurasaki Nature Park in Hokuto-shi, Yamanashi Prefecture has a vast forest where the national butterfly Great Purple Emperor lives.
Using the forest as a set, Lene made the sea floating in the forest called “Blue Dream in Nature”
in front of everyone.
The light changed around the end of March.
Mt. Yatsugatake which had been seen sharply with a clear sky seems to be wearing a thin veil in a soft sunlight.
Tap-tap, tap-tap
How grateful I feel to have time when just the sound of loom resounds in the room.
When I open the curtains at the usual time in the winter morning, I have noticed that the sunlight is shining into the room considerably compared to the dimness until recently.
That alone will brighten my feelings.
Years ago, when I stayed at my friend’s house around in Dec, she secretly put a hot water bag in my futon.
I didn’t know anything about it, so I braced myself for going into the cold futon.
I was extremely impressed by the warmth that eased the tension instantly and her unobtrusive consideration.
In my head, there is a dye map of Kamakura where I lived before.
I want to dye with plants that are familiar as far as possible, so every time I dye with plants from the garden at home or plants that I encountered while taking a walk around the neighbours, the places and the colours were recorded on the map in my head.
I thought that the wind blowing from the mountain was cold, then I noticed that it was snowing on the top of high mountains of Yatsugatake.
It seems that its area expands day by day and approaches to the foot.
